Vintage Bronze Buddha in Lotus Position

This lovely buddha statue is fashioned from, I think, bronze and is very heavy at almost 1.8kg. It stands (or sits!) 9" high and has traces of gilding.
The hands are facing upwards in the lap and this is just perfect for putting a crystal in.
I don't know how old this is and can't even guess and I am also not sure where in Asia it would have originated.
Makes a beautiful decorative item for the home - and hopefully it will bring plenty of blessings!
