A Sterling Silver Cased Christening Set of Napkin Ring and Spoon - Sheffield 1958

This lovely Christening Set is fashioned from sterling silver and features a napkin ring and spoon in a fitted case.

Both the cup and spoon are hallmarked for Sheffield 1958 and bear the maker's mark CB&S for Cooper Brothers and Sons Ltd. The napkin ring is 2.8cm wide and is 3mm thick on rim which has a zigzag pattern and the spoon is 12.5cm long. 

Both are in lovely condition, with a total weight of 71g (51g for ring & 20g for spoon).

The case is in very good condition - inside is lined wth cream satin and brown velvet and inside the lid is the original paper label for the retailer - Sharman D Neill of Belfast (they are still trading today). The outside of the case has some minor wear and a couple of scratches to the top which I have shown in the photos.

Would also make a great gift for someone retiring in 2025 at age 67, as date of manufacture ties in with birthdate.
